It is a clean, cozy school with professional teachers who are good at managing classrooms and the diverse personalities that come through. The "absolute beginners" class is overwhelming for me, but I limp through. It's not "absolute beginners" in the sense of Kindergarten level. If you are expecting that, prepare to be challenged. However, even with the handful of classes I have attended, I now understand more French when overhearing conversations, reading notices, or listening to advertisements. I was exempt from French as a child (as I was considered hopeless at it), so this is notable progress. Something I have realized now that I'm older is that languages cannot be exactly translated into your native language. You just have to accept that a language is its "own thing" and probably wont make sense until you've stayed with it for a long time. All one can do is keep a positive mindset and engage each day. I live for the hot chocolat machine in the common area, which brings the review to 5/5.
