Course Description

This program is designed for senior students, aged 50 and up, who not only want to improve their French , but also want to spend a pleasant cultural holiday in France enjoying the best of what our region has to offer.

This one or two week program includes 15 hours of French language instruction per week plus 4 afternoon activities per week.

Students will be placed according to the placement test in mixed groups; in the afternoons senior students will participate in special
activities designed only for this age group.

French in Normandy reserves the right to include other age groups on the transportation to/from activities although the activity itself will be done in the 50+ age group.

Where possible French in Normandy will create a closed group of senior students for courses.

4 cultural activities per week are included in this special French for senior students program. Activities may include:

A guided visit to the impressionist gallery, museum visits, pastry workshop, cheese or wine producer visits or tasting, historical tour of the City, visit to the Joan of Arc Historial, cruise on the Seine, Monet’s House at Giverny, Honfleur, Trouville etc.


Host family accommodation in Rouen
Students will be accommodated in single rooms (half board basis) with one of our excellent French host families. These families have been carefully selected and each one is visited regularly by French in Normandy staff.

We can give a choice of partner hotels from 2*-5*

Apparthotel (B&B)
Studio with kitchenette and en-suite bathroom in our partner residence, located 15-minute walk from the school.
