UED Awards: Best French Language School

ued_logoISTANBUL, TURKEY – French in Normandy’s Eleri Maitland had an even bigger smile than usual after winning the first UED Awards in the Best French Language School category. She received the award from Neçdet BILGEN of BILTUR.

An award winner association’s awards, The UED Awards, which was organized for the very first time this year, is the only competition which aims to learn Turkish agents’ and their students’ choices and reward the institutions which provide the best services for them.

After all the UED member agencies present their candidate institutions for each category, the winners were selected through the 3 most nominated institutions in each category by the votes of the UED Member Agencies’ Directors who are leaders of the international education consultancy sector in Turkey.

The event was held at the smart Nippon Hotel Taxim Square and prize winning European Airline: Turkish Airlines, were also there. Mr Gayret YUKSEL, Turkish Airlines Marketing Specialist, was pleased to receive the award of Best Airline from the Turkish Association President Mr Eren GOKER.

CIEP Invites French in Normandy to Discuss the Qualité FLE Label

QUALITÉ FLE (French as a Foreign Language) and CIEP (Centre International des Etudes Pedagogiques) organised a 2 day seminar bringing together professionals from all sectors of this thriving sector in the world of international education. As part of the programme the CIEP invited Eleri Maitland who is responsible for Marketing, Pedagogical and Quality at French in Normandy, to share her experience of the audit and how the requirements of this prestigious accreditation have contributed to French in Normandy’s success and reputation.

Eleri told us that “French in Normandy is proud to be the CIEP’s partner and hope that this is the first of many such meetings”.

Le 18 et 19 mars 2013, le CIEP (Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques) a invité des professionnels du monde du Français Langue Étrangère à participer à deux jours de réflexion, d’échanges et d’information sur le label Qualité FLE.

Dans le cadre de ce premier rendez-vous dédié à la promotion du label qualité FLE et à l’importance d’une démarche qualité au sein des établissements enseignant le français, le CIEP a demandé à Eleri Maitland, Directrice Marketing, Pédagogique et Qualité de French in Normandy, de partager son expérience et d’expliquer comment le label a contribué à la qualité et au succès de l’école.

French in Normandy est très fière d’avoir accompagné le CIEP dans cette démarche innovante et dynamique.

Recette des Truffes au Chocolat

Les truffes en chocolat arrivent à la fin des préparations de Noël, on peut les faire pendant les vacances avec les enfants, car c’est une recette très facile à faire et très amusante, pour ne pas dire carrément ludique.

La recette des truffes au chocolat

250g de chocolat noir
3 cuillérées de lait
2 jaunes d’oeufs très frais
70 g de beurre
Cacao non sucré en poudre

Faire fondre le chocolat dans le lait à feu très doux. Mélanger et surveiller pour éviter la cuisson du chocolat qui ne donnerait pas de bonnes truffes comme nous les aimons dans nos campagnes.

On peut ajouter un peu d’eau pour faciliter le mélange et obtenir une belle pâte lisse.

Retirer le chocolat fondu du feu et ajouter les jaunes d’oeuf. Mélanger longuement, ajouter le beurre en petits morceaux.

Conserver cette pâte à truffes au réfrigérateur pendant 5 heures pour la faire refroidir mais surtout pour qu’elle durcisse et que les truffes en chocolat soient plus faciles à travailler sans que le chocolat ne colle aux doigts .

Avec une cuillière à café, prélever un peu de pâte et la modeler en petite boule avec les mains.
Rouler la truffe dans le cacao amer en poudre pour l’enrober.

Il faut faire les truffes au dernier moment car elles ne se conservent pas très longtemps, en effet les jaunes d’oeufs incorporés dans la pâte ne sont pas cuits.

On peut ajouter à la pâte un peu de rhum ou de grand Marnier pour la parfumer, nous préférons quant à nous les truffes en chocolat “nature”, pour que le goût du cacao soit bien mis en valeur.
